About the Author

Adnan Buyung Nasution, the chairman of the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation, is one of the best-known and most widely respected human rights figures in Asia. A former public prosecutor and director of public relations for the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office, he holds a doctorate in law from the University of Utrecht in the Netherlands, and is the recipient of several international human rights awards.
