Mark J. Gasiorowski is associate professor of political science at Louisiana State University. He is the author of U.S. Foreign Policy and the Shah: Building a Client State in Iran (1991), and coauthor (with Nikki Keddie) of Neither East nor West: Iran, the Soviet Union, and the United States (1990).
